Brett is a Professional Geologist with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has hands on experience with many aspects of development as well as new venture evaluation experience for different types of plays, both internationally and domestically. Brett has experience in Bluesky, Gething, Clearwater, Charlie Lake, Sunburst/Ellerslie, Jean Marie, and Alberta Bakken. Most recently, he has worked on geological mapping and development reviews of the Clearwater formation across Alberta, and has a thorough knowledge of the geology and growth of the entire play. He has studied, tracked and reviewed the operations of many of the major players in the Clearwater to date.
Brett’s International experience includes field development for various types of reservoirs in numerous regions such as Albania, Mexico, Egypt, Iran and Oman. He managed Europe’s largest onshore oil field for many years, taking the field from 5000 -21000 bopd. He has in-depth experience with polymer flood planning and operations as well as preliminary cyclic steam pilots. Brett has many years of experience with building dynamic Petrel geomodels to guide successful development drilling and EOR planning in many different geologic environments and international jurisdictions. Brett has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Dakota and is a member of APEGA, CSPG and AAPG.
